About FAOPMA

The Federation of Asian and Oceania Pest Managers Associations (FAOPMA) is a non-profit organisation established in 1987 to strengthen and promote the professional pest management industry across Asia and Oceania.

At its core, FAOPMA exists to advance the industry through the exchange of knowledge, information and experience. It encourages the adoption and development of best practice methods tailored to the unique challenges and needs of the region.

Membership is open to all professional pest management associations within the region, with global organisations welcome to join as associate members. Manufacturers, suppliers, consultants, trainers, academic institutions and individuals providing products, services or expertise to the industry are also encouraged to participate as associate members or sponsors. In doing so, they gain the support, resources and fellowship of the FAOPMA community.

Originally registered in Hong Kong, FAOPMA is supported today by an administrative office in Australia. The Administrator manages the organisation’s corporate compliance, reporting, constitutional processes, and coordination of meetings and Executive Committee initiatives.

Executive Committee positions are voluntary, held for two-year terms, and open only to representatives of full member associations. Special advisors may also be invited to contribute, providing valuable expertise to assist the Committee in its decision-making.

One of FAOPMA’s most visible achievements is its annual convention, hosted by a different member country each year. These events showcase both local and regional pest management issues and attract leading international speakers. Over time, the convention has become recognised as one of the most significant gatherings on the global pest management calendar.
